Hey Fabbers! Another late post, but I have been so very busy! It's a wonderful thing though.....I have been really enjoying getting out and meeting new people, and networking. You shall see the results of all of this coming very soon!
Back to this post.....I was invited to provide media coverage for the J.Smith's Blklist Summer Fashion Showcase. I have to admit that I wasn't familiar with this particular designer, but I knew that she had been a part of Black Fashion Week in Chicago in February. I missed that show, so I was anxious to check her out. Glad I did! Jazell Smith specializes in African attire. You may have noticed that there is a huge movement in the Black community where we are wearing more African print...check out the hash tag #prom2016 to see all of the beautiful young Queens that wore the most beautiful custom prom gowns with African print. Jazell partnered with Ladetria Warren of Twisted Rose Metal. This was the perfect collaboration, as Ladetria's pieces celebrate African Heritage with unique handmade jewelry utilizing precious metals and stones. These pieces are the perfect accompaniment to Jazell's designs made from African Kente, Dashiki and Ankara prints. I purchased a beautiful skirt with the most amanzing print, and a really funky necklace from Twisted Metal. Check out Jazell's clothing HERE, and Twisted Metal HERE.
Jazell's designs feature historical African prints, including Kente, Dashiki and Ankara
Jazell's line caters to the Plus Size community! Ms. Kareen Belle rocked her designs!

I immediately fell in love with this skirt, and the Twisted Metal necklace was the perfect compliment!
